How to delete a team in Asana (2023)

Step 1: Open the app or web version of Asana

Once you’ve launched Asana and confirmed you’re in the correct workspace, take a look at the left-hand side of the screen. Here, you’ll find the list of teams displayed at the bottom, as illustrated in the following image:

Now, select and open the team that you intend to remove.

Step 2: Go to the advanced settings of the team in Asana

The following step involves navigating to the team’s advanced settings, which I initially found challenging to locate. You need to direct your attention to the top right of the page and click on either the area showing team members or the ‘invite’ button.

Step 3: Remove the team

Scroll to the bottom of the popup window. Here, you’ll find the ‘Delete team’ option. Click on it to permanently remove the team from Asana.

Congratulations, you’ve successfully deleted the team!

If you accidentally deleted the wrong team, don’t worry. You’ll get an email with an option to undo the deletion. Just remember, you have 30 days to reverse the action.
